TRANSPORT

I just find it very interesting to put all sorts of practical problems at the heart of the design. I don’t believe in an approach in which problems are only solved later. If you start with something beautiful and you only realise afterwards that there are many practical requirements, you will never have a good design. Working like this leads to compromises that weaken the concept. I don’t regard the way a product is transported, packaged and assembled to be merely coincidental, let alone a nasty chore that I impose on others. At Extremis we invest a lot in the less visible qualities of the product.
