It's a love boat story - all day, all night

As well as being a passionate horseman, designer Dirk Wynants is a keen yachtsman. The intimacy and versatility of yacht furniture inspired him in his search for a way to meet the expectations that people in more Mediterranean climates have of outdoor furniture. Their milder climate allows for less robust, more refined outdoor furniture. The Kosmos table and seat combination is the perfect response to these expectations. Its lightweight aluminium frame and synthetic leather cushions are a clear reference to the world of sailing ships and yachts.

As the designer of “Tools for Togetherness”, Dirk Wynants constantly observes how people behave when they are together. He notices all sorts of factors that can influence the atmosphere of a gathering. His personal experiences, travels, hobbies and passions lie at the root of new design ideas. This also explains why his work says a lot about his own personality and lifestyle.

“When space is limited, like on a boat, we need to be more creative.” Kosmos is the alternative to an expensive combination of table, chairs, lounge chairs, sun protection, dimmable lighting and so on. Let's say: everything you need in your garden.
