Captain's Chair shell
The Captain's Chair shell is made from polypropylene (also called PP). This material provides excellent comfort, but as it's quite soft it can be sensitive to scratches.
Day to day cleaning
Clean regularly and after every use (+/- 5 min)
Spilled liquids should be removed immediately with a clean, soft cloth, particularly in case of dark-coloured liquids such as wine, ink, coffee, coke, oil and bird droppings. If left to dry, these liquids may cause permanent damage!
Thorough cleaning
When dirty, after use (+/- 5 min)
Use Extremis Multi Cleaner, a 100% biodegradable detergent or common kitchen cleaning products. Avoid using aggressive products. These surfaces are best cleaned with a neutral cleaning product diluted in water.
Instructions
Follow the instructions below
- For more persistent stains, first use a brush to remove encrusted dirt.
- Spray Extremis Multi Cleaner and let work.
- Rub the stains with a cloth or a brush.
- Rinse with water.
Leave to dry.
Polypropylene
Polypropylene is resistant to stress corrosion. It may sound crazy that corrosion can also occur in plastics but it is true. This results in cracking, especially in areas where mechanical stress occurs in combination with a chemical attack. PP is a plastic that has very low susceptibility to this.
