Commercial warranty statement
Good furniture lasts a long time. Great furniture lasts generations.
At Extremis, we’ve been designing and making outdoor furniture for over 30 years – built to withstand everything from blazing sunshine to torrential rain. That experience has taught us exactly which materials are reliable. And those are the only ones we use.
Each material has its strengths – and sensitivities. That’s why we don’t give a standard warranty, but one tailored to the material in your furniture. Steel should not rust. Coating should not peel. Wood should not rot.
So, for all purchases from July 1, 2025, you’ll receive – in addition to the legal warranty – up to 15 years of coverage on the materials we use. Because if there’s one thing we’re sure of, it’s this: our furniture can take a beating. Literally.

Galvanized steel
Enjoy an impressive 15-year warranty on all galvanized steel parts. We proudly use this exceptional Cradle to Cradlecertified technique to protect steel from rusting, incorporating it into nearly all our designs.

Coated metals, stainless steel, wood and Sunbrella
We offer a comprehensive 5-year warranty on all powder coated metal parts, stainless steel components, wooden parts, and Sunbrella fabrics. This extension ensures that all key materials of our products are covered.
You’ll find a convenient overview of all material-specific warranty periods in the chart below.

What do the warranties in the chart mean?
- Structural and functional warranty
Our furniture is designed to fulfill its function for many years. You should be able to sit comfortably or enjoy a meal at your table without issues. This warranty covers defects in materials or construction that prevent normal use.
The condition? Proper use and good maintenance. Always follow our care instructions to keep your furniture in top condition and within warranty.
- Rust warranty
Steel or metal should not rust through in a way that damages or structurally weakens the furniture. Surface rust, discoloration or iron particles carried by wind are not covered.
- Wood rot warranty
Wooden parts should not rot internally or break down structurally under normal use.
- Crack warranty
Wood should not develop cracks over 4 mm wide in dry conditions under normal circumstances. Small cracks from natural wood movement are normal, but deeper cracks are not.
Who is covered?
This warranty applies only to the original purchaser of the Extremis product and is not transferable.
Important: Always submit your warranty request via the dealer where you purchased your furniture. They will contact us on your behalf.
What is not covered?
The extended warranty (2 to 15 years) does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear or natural aging (e.g., UV fading)
- Aesthetic changes in wood (wood is a living material that changes over time)
- Damage due to misuse, neglect, or extreme conditions
- Repairs or modifications by unauthorized personnel
- Parasol damage from strong winds (advice: always close parasols when not in use, especially in winds of 6 Beaufort or higher)
- Product use in coastal regions (within 5 km of the shoreline) or highly polluted industrial zones
What if something is wrong with my furniture?
Contact the dealer from whom you purchased the furniture. Provide them with your proof of purchase, clear photos and a brief description of the issue. The dealer will then contact us and follow up the process.
If the defect falls within the warranty conditions, Extremis will choose one of the following solutions:
- On-site repair
- Replacement of parts or the entire product
- Partial or full reimburseme
Extremis decides which solution applies. Returns are only accepted with our prior written approval. In some cases, we arrange transport to our workshop; in others, a local repair is the best option.
We handle every request with care and aim to provide the most suitable solution.
