Picnik was born from a single flat sheet of aluminum, cut and folded with zero waste. Designer Dirk Wynants and aluminum bending artist Xavier Lust created something that sits at the intersection of art and function. Strategic incisions and precise curves give it remarkable strength, a comfortable seat, and an iconic shape that has stood the test of time since 2002.
Form follows function
No joints, no assembly, no excess material. Just one sheet of aluminum, cut and bent into something that is as strong as it is beautiful. The curves drain water naturally, the sloping legs make it stackable, and the powder-coated finish keeps maintenance to a minimum.
